Acupuncture, Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Knowledge!

1 hDr. Manesh, ND

Service Description

Acupuncture is a treatment based on holistic perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which believes the mind and body are assumed as an energetic integrated unit. In this worldview, different parts of the body are connected by major flow pathways which allows the system to function as a whole. Acupuncture is using this harmonized wisdom that enables the body to work in a congruent and integrated manner. These pathways are called Meridian. To meet our modern knowledge of medicine we consider each meridian being related to a system organ. However, they are only energetic and are not physically visible. Along each of these Meridians there are assigned acupuncture points with special functions related to Qi, Yin, and Yang. These designated points are named acupuncture points which we needle them. The points are supposed to work as a modulator for the Qi and balance the Yin & Yang of that Meridian/organs. Qi is the vital force, and the Yin and Yang are the dynamics of the paired organs which by working interrelated, provide balanced functionality through the Meridian and their related organs. Yin and Yang conceptually are present in everything, and their interrelated function provide balance to that material. Yin is receptive in nature and Yang has the action quality. When these two components are in balance and the Qi is adequate, the result is health of that material. Worth to mention that the dynamic between Yin and Yang works towards keeping the whole safe, through completing each other instead of opposing. So, the result would be a healthy and thriving whole. The role of Qi is providing adequate energy to both Yin and Yang to enable them keeping the optimal balance at the moment and cope with the variable circumstances as required.
