WELL-WOMAN VISITS Naturopathic Doctors are educated to perform comprehensive female pelvic exams, clinical breast exams, PAP smears, and vaginal swabs for culture . Now, Dr Manesh ND is offering these exams in our mature & tranquil clinic to promote preventative health monitoring for women. WHAT IS A WELL-WOMAN VISIT? Well woman naturopathic visit is a consultation for female reproductive system and routine screening examinations. It includes: Clinical breast exam Full gynecologic exam PAP test , Optional: HPV, vaginal swabs for Bacterial vaginosis and yeast detection) WHY BOOK A WELL-WOMAN VISIT? Promoting women’s health is very important to us. Therefore, we make sure that our female patients are attending their routine screening. We understand that lots of women do not feel comfortable doing this examination. Not to mention that worries and fears sometimes prohibit women from going for their routine screening tests. Therefore, I decided to make my three decades of medical experience help these ladies and make the pelvic exam more comfortable to them. Not only we give you time to relax and ask your question in our mature environment, we additionally, use cotton gowns and sheets, warm steam to prevent cramp, warm tea to calm the mind afterwards, single use instruments and we let you keep your socks on during whole examination. It’s an easy job! You walk in and drop off the specimen in Lifelabs.  All results of the exams will be sent to us. We will let you know the result. But an abnormal Pap result must be followed up with your Medical Doctor or at a walk-in clinic if you don’t have a Family Doctor.  To prevent inconclusive results, you must not use tampons, vaginal creams, salves, lubricants, douches, contraceptive (spermicidal) creams, foams, or gels and no sexual intercourse for 48 hours before examination.  Examinations should be rescheduled if menstrual bleeding is occurring at the time of your scheduled visit.
